Book NowReiki is a Japanese hands-on energy healing art. It is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit, creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Reiki can be a supportive wellness practice for people experiencing a wide range of physical, emotional, and energetic concerns, with the goal of promoting relaxation, balance, and overall well-being.
Book NowSometimes recovery starts by simply slowing everything down. A sound bath uses calming tones, frequencies, and vibrations to create a deeply relaxing sensory experience. The steady, repetitive sounds can help shift your attention away from everyday stress and encourage the nervous system to settle into a more relaxed state. Think of it as a reset; giving your mind and body time to slow down, recharge, and reconnect.
Book NowStress and tension have a way of settling into the places we use the most. A head, neck, and shoulder massage focuses on common areas of muscular tightness caused by everyday stress, posture, repetitive movement, and long hours at a desk or on the go. Targeted massage techniques help relax tense muscles, encourage healthy circulation, and improve mobility — giving your upper body a chance to release, reset, and move a little easier.

That depends on your goals. Some clients come in monthly for maintenance, while others benefit from more frequent sessions during recovery or periods of high stress. We’ll discuss what makes the most sense for you.
Wear whatever you’re comfortable in. You’ll be given privacy to prepare, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered during your session.
That’s completely up to you! This time is set aside for your well-being, so we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. Some clients enjoy chatting during their session, while others prefer to relax in silence or even drift off to sleep. There is no right or wrong; this is your time, and we’ll follow your lead.
The most important thing is to arrive comfortable and ready to relax. After your massage, we recommend drinking plenty of water and giving your body a little time to recover. It’s also common to feel deeply relaxed -or even experience what’s often called “massage brain”- where you feel calm, light, or a little foggy for a short time after your session. If that’s the case, take a few moments to sit, breathe, and ease back into your day before getting behind the wheel.
It’s possible, especially if we focus on areas of chronic tension or use deeper pressure. Mild soreness for a day or two is a normal response, similar to how you might feel after a good workout. Staying hydrated, moving gently, and giving your body time to recover can help, and most clients find they’re feeling even better within a day or two.

Cupping therapy uses specialized cups that create gentle suction on the skin. This can help improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and support the body’s natural recovery process.
Most people find cupping relaxing. You may feel a gentle pulling sensation, but it should not be painful. Your comfort is always the priority.
The circular marks are a normal response to the suction created during treatment. They are not bruises and typically fade within a few days.
Absolutely. Many clients choose to combine cupping with massage therapy to enhance muscle recovery and address areas of chronic tension.
Cupping has been practiced for thousands of years and continues to be used by many healthcare and wellness professionals around the world. While researchers are still studying exactly how and when it works best, some studies suggest that cupping may help reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, support recovery, and provide short-term relief from certain types of pain.
Like many wellness therapies, every person’s experience is different. At Inner Light Wellness, cupping is used as one tool among many to support your overall treatment plan. We’ll always discuss your goals and determine whether cupping is a good fit for your individual needs.

Reiki is a gentle energy-based wellness practice that encourages relaxation and supports the body’s natural healing processes. Many clients describe feeling deeply relaxed, centered, and refreshed after a session.
Reiki is based on the traditional belief that a subtle life-force energy flows through and around the body. Reiki practitioners believe that when this energy becomes disrupted or imbalanced, it can contribute to feelings of stress or reduced well-being. During a Reiki session, the practitioner uses gentle hand placements with the intention of supporting the body’s natural balance and encouraging deep relaxation.
From a scientific perspective, researchers have not identified or measured this proposed energy field, and there is currently no consensus on the biological mechanism behind Reiki. However, some studies have found that Reiki sessions may promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve an overall sense of well-being for some individuals.
Reiki is a Japanese wellness practice developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1920s. While Reiki itself is just over 100 years old, it draws inspiration from much older traditions that recognize the connection between the body, mind, and spirit. Similar concepts of life-force energy can be found in practices such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (Qi), Ayurveda (Prana), and other hands-on healing traditions that have existed for thousands of years.

No. Reiki is a personal experience, and many people choose to try it simply because they’re looking for relaxation or a greater sense of balance. You’re welcome to approach it with curiosity and an open mind.
Every experience is different. Some clients feel warmth or tingling, while others simply experience deep relaxation. There is no “right” way to experience Reiki.
No. Reiki is a wellness practice rather than a religion. People of many different faiths -and those with no religious beliefs- choose Reiki as part of their personal wellness journey.

A sound bath is a deeply relaxing experience that uses the soothing vibrations of instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, or gongs to promote relaxation and mindfulness.
Sound has been used for centuries in cultures around the world to support meditation, relaxation, and spiritual practices. Modern sound healing, often experienced through sound baths using instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, and gongs, is designed to create an environment that encourages deep relaxation and mindfulness.
Researchers continue to study how sound may influence the body and mind. While more research is needed, some studies suggest that sound-based meditation experiences may help reduce stress, ease anxiety, improve mood, and promote relaxation. Scientists believe these benefits are likely related to the body’s natural relaxation response, focused attention, and the calming effects of rhythmic sound.
Modern science continues to explore how vibration and sound influence the body. Researchers have shown that cells respond to mechanical forces and that sound- and vibration-based therapies may support relaxation, pain management, and overall well-being through known biological mechanisms such as nervous system regulation and mechanotransduction. While many traditional healing systems describe these effects in terms of energy and vibration, science is still working to understand the full picture.
Many people also describe sound healing in terms of energy, vibration, and a sense of feeling more balanced after a session. While these experiences are meaningful to many individuals, the scientific mechanisms behind them are still being explored.
